NOT ALL CLASSROOMS HAVE FOUR WALLS!
Forest School sessions are held in a dedicated forest school setting in Yates’ Community Orchard in Church Lench village. The Orchard is just a short walk from Pre-School and follows a public footpath.
Forest School runs during term time only and is open to children who attend Pre-school. Our sessions run fortnightly on Tuesday mornings.
Yate's Community Orchard gives children many wonderful outdoor learning opportunities. With so many fruit trees on offer, during Autumn we are lucky enough to enjoy tasting apples, plums and pears. Children will learn how to build dens, use tools and equipment safely, play at the mud kitchen, build fires safely and learn how to cook whilst enjoying tasty treats!

Nature Walk is a child-centred inspirational learning process, supporting play, exploration and guided risk taking within a natural setting and developing a lifelong relationship between the learner and the natrual world.
Developing confidence and self-esteem through learner inspired, hands-on experiences exploring and communicating together whilst promoting the holistic development of all involved, fostering resilient, confident, independent and creative learners.
Offering learners the opportunity to take supported risks appropriate to the environment and themsleves building confidence and resilience.
