Covid-19

Our response

This year and last have proved some of the most challenging periods for Early Years settings.

Remaining open has only been possible due to our incredibly committed staff.  Our Pre-School is immensely proud of and grateful to those continuing to come to work and welcome our children despite the increased risk to themselves and their families.

Throughout the pandemic our priority has been the safety of the children and staff whilst fully supporting the children's development and learning.

Our hugely passionate staff have done all they can to ensure continuity of engagement and learning in what can be an uncertain and confusing time for our children.

During lockdown periods our staff were split into 2 teams.  1 team opperates from the setting in the village hall to provide childcare and learning in one bubble for families of children who wish to return whilst adhering to the guidance and social distancing rules in line with our carefully considered risk assessment.

The other team operates remotely providing a full online learning and activity package via Tapestry to support those children and families working and learning from home.

By working flexibly in this way, the number of staff in the setting has been kept to a minimum enabling us to adhere to the latest guidance but still maintaining our high staff to child ratio.

We continue to be guided by Government and Worcestershire Childrens First.  Any information we provide is subject to change, is being continually updated and is reviewed every 7 days.

Getting creative

In order to continue to deliver and facilitate learning for our children and their families during the lockdown periods, our staff had some incredibly creative ideas for the children to explore.  Using the secure online learning journal Tapestry, here's just one wonderful example provided remotely to the children by Abi and Sophie.
